Eloise The Congenial#32weeks
This dark-haired beauty impatiently awaits the arrival of her baby daughter. As summer turns to fall, Eloise is savouring her last moments alone with her husband before becoming a parent. She is sure the next few weeks will be rich in emotion.
Girl or boy… did you find out or have you kept it a surprise?
It didn’t really matter to me, but my partner couldn’t wait to find out, and so we did. We’re delighted it’s a girl but a boy would have been just as nice. All that matters is that the baby is healthy. Anything else comes second.
You crave… strawberries or an extra large steak?
I have an insane craving for chocolate. It’s strange because I’m not normally a sweet-tooth. Now, all I can think about are chocolate bars. I’ve been binging on Twix and Balisto bars since my pregnancy began.
9 months of pregnancy… too long or too short?
I love pregnancy. Every step is magical to me. So far, I’ve had no sickness or discomfort. I’d like to stay pregnant as long as possible. My favourite moment was the first kicks – it was so incredibly emotional.
If you could have anything that’s forbidden right now, what would it be?
I’m not having such a hard time staying away from certain foods or activities. I try not to think about it too much, to avoid frustration. If I had to name something, though, it would be raw fish, like carpaccio or ceviche. One thing I must say I’ve found hard is coming up with reasons to refuse a meal or glass of wine, especially in the beginning of my pregnancy before it was official.
When you announced it, was it tears or smiles?
To be honest, a little bit of both. We wanted to have a baby and it all happened quickly. But when you actually hear the news and share it with your family, it’s very emotional.
Whats the most beautiful thing you hope to pass on to your baby?
A sense of family! We both had that very strongly and it’s very important to us. Ideally, we’d like to have two or three children. Being a happy family is what matters to me most.
Changing the topic to fashion: what’s your most important fashion item?
A tunic blouse I can wear everyday. Something that’s not tight, but that makes the most of my curves. And, of course, comfortable jeans.
If someone asked you to describe Envie de Fraise, what would you say?
I would say that the clothes are comfortable. The cuts are well thought-out and the cotton is really soft to wear.
A final message to your baby?
You’re our greatest joy and the most wonderful expression of our love.
